The Imaginary Line Of Action.

The imaginary line of action helps to split up the characters in a conversation and is also what the camera must stick to. The camera must film on one side of the line for example, if the camera films on the right Mr.A will be on the left and Mr.B will be on the right. Thew camera must stay on the same side of the line throughout the conversation to show this. The camera can change over sides but only if he still applies to the 180 degree rule ( showing Mr. A on the left and Mr. B on the right ) also following the shot reverse shot rule.

This is an image of Bobby, Billy and Hope demonstrating the 180 degree rule
